About me - Vajihe Dana

My interest in sculpture goes all the way back to my technical high school days.When for the first time I created a small crow character with paste and showed it to others, they cheered me a lot. Afterwards I used to analyze everything in my mind and thought about its making and materials. I then began making small statues and figures with tiny bars or other fine and delicate materials available to ladies. In 2006 I received my associate degree in graphics and began working in this field as a professional, which continues to this day. In 2014 my huge interest in sculpture pushed me into a rally for urban sculpture works.

My work was accepted with flying colors and that was a turning point in my activities in this field. I then attended the School of Art and received training in sculpture, which opened new horizons for me and pushed me from the 2D world of graphics into the 3D world of sculpture. The shared point of graphics and sculpture was their multimedia nature and lack of restriction in creating the works and using other fields and branches of visual arts. In both arts one can use all sorts of strategies, materials and interdisciplinary space. At present I run my personal studio of graphic and sculpture.
